About

Boozhoo, Tansi, Wasta!

Greetings Chiefs, Elders, youth and First Nations members!

I hope that this greeting finds you well and content. It has been a while now since I was so gratefully elected into the position of Southern Grand Chief in June, 2007. Since that time, I have been busy with many meetings, presentations, and events. I have enjoyed visiting our First Nations, taking part in events and meeting with people. One of my joys has been that I have been able to continue visiting many pow-wows, just as I used to do before being elected Grand Chief.

As Grand Chief, I continually communicate with Chiefs, listening to their perspective on the issues they face on their First Nations. Each day our people are faced with ongoing struggles such as youth suicide, poor living conditions, education barriers and unemployment. The Southern Chiefs' Organization is a small yet, powerful body that will truly work its hardest to get our voices heard!

Meegwetch! Ekosi! Pidamayepi do!
